Dear contact.firstname,

The UNSW enrolment process is changing – here’s what you need to do:

1. Understand the changes

In October this year, UNSW will be moving to annual enrolment, which will allow you to better plan your studies by enrolling in all your courses for 2019.

Enrolment will be a two-step process:

  • From 2 October 2018 - Step 1: Course Enrolment. This is when you will be able to enrol in the courses you intend to undertake for the following year. This will include course enrolment for the 2018/2019 Summer Term.
  • From 26 November 2018 - Step 2: Class Registration. This is when you will choose the classes for your enrolled courses for Term 1. Class Registrations for Term 2 and Term 3 will open at least 8 weeks before the start date of those terms.

We will be contacting you with more information on the ‘how’ in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, you can understand what is changing, and refer to the FAQs.

2. Plan your courses

You will be able to enrol in all three 2019 terms, plus the 2018/2019 Summer Term, so it is important for you to plan which courses you wish to enrol in. Course information and term offerings can be found in the new 2019 UNSW Handbook.

Remember, eight courses spread over three terms remains the ‘normal’ study load. However, you will have the option of enrolling in nine courses (three per term).

If you have any concerns about your study requirements, your Faculty Student Centre can provide course advice. If you have any concerns about your visa status, please contact Student Development International ASAP.

We will be in touch again with your next steps in the coming weeks.
